Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
The best breakfast downtown is in Tupelo Honey Cafe. Every dish is amazing, but the biscuits and honey are the best. |
Lunch |
If it's a weekday, eat lunch in Mela, Indian Cuisine. During the week they have a lunch buffet for a reasonable price and it is high quality, authentic Indian food. |
Dinner |
While visiting Asheville, you have to eat dinner at Salsa's. It is a Caribbean/ Mexican restaurant that has gotten rave reviews for as long as it has been in business. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
In the morning, go to the Grove Park Inn, a fancy hotel in East Asheville to get a spa treatment. It will leave you rejuvenated for the rest of the day and give you a relaxing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. |
Afternoon |
Before dinner, visit the Biltmore House, located in West Asheville. It is one of the biggest private residences in North America and very impressive. Besides visiting the house itself, it's essential to go to the winery for a wine tasting and tour. |
Evening |
After dinner, walk from Salsa's to the Fine Arts theater to see an artsy film. Most of the films played in this theater are indie or non-mainstream movies that are artsy and unique, just like the spirit of Asheville. |
Late Night |
After the movie, head a few blocks west to club Scandals to go salsa dancing. It's a small cover for a lot of fun! They also offer lessons if you need to brush up your salsa skills. |
